I remember this being served as dessert for a dinner party in Scotland. It is so darn yummy! The flambe also is a magnificent presentation!

Steps:
- 1. Cut bananas in 1 1/2" thick pieces and place in single layer in buttered 4 c baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Pour syrup over and dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees 20 min, turning 2-3 times.
- 2. To flambe: just before serving, warm rum and ignite. Pour over bananas.
