Li'l Cheddar Meat Loaves image

This is so easy to fix & my family loves it. I stole it from Katy Bowron out of a 2001 magazine. Thanks Katy for a great recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 egg
3/4 c milk
1 c shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 c quick-cooking oats
1/2 c chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1 lb lean ground beef
2/3 c ketchup
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp prepared mustard

Steps:

  • 1. IN A BOWL, BEAT THE EGG AND MILK. STIR IN CHEESE, OATS, ONION AND SALT. ADD BEEF AND MIX WELL. SHAPE INTO EIGHT OR NINE LOAVES; PLACE IN A GREASED 13-IN. X 9-IN. BAKING PAN. COMBINE KETCHUP, BROWN SUGAR AND MUSTARD; SPOON OVER LOAVES.
  • 2. BAKE, UNCOVERED, AT 350 DEGREES FOR 45 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE MEAT IS NO LONGER PINK AND A MEAT THERMOMETER READS 160 DEGREES.
