India's Basil Tea image

This recipe had been submitted for play in ZWT8 - India and was found on Indian Food Forever. Now, this sounds good. I often am left wondering what I'm going to do with all the basil growing in the garden. What a great use for it. Please note: Cooking time is for steeping of the tea.

I followed the recipe exactly and my tea turned out really bitter. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

This tea is a bit too strong for my taste. I think I'll use less basil next time.

This tea is a great way to use up leftover basil. I always have a bunch of basil in my fridge, and this is a great way to use it up before it goes bad.

I'm not a big fan of basil, but I actually really enjoyed this tea. The ginger and lemon help to balance out the flavor of the basil.
