Time 35m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 scallion, sliced fine
2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 lb center-cut salmon fillet
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Whisk scallion, soy sauce, vinegar, honey and ginger in a medium bowl until the honey is dissolved. Place salmon in a zip-top plastic bag, add 3 tablespoons of the sauce and refrigerate; let marinate for 15 minutes, turning at least once. Reserve the remaining sauce.
  • Preheat broiler. Line a small baking pan with foil and coat with cooking spray. Transfer the salmon to the pan, skin-side down. (Discard the marinade in the bag.) Broil the salmon 4 to 6 inches from the heat source until cooked through, 6 to 10 minutes. Drizzle with the reserved sauce and garnish with sesame seeds.

I've tried this recipe several times and it's always been a disappointment. The salmon is always dry and the sauce is too sweet.

This was my first time making salmon and it was a disaster. The salmon was overcooked and the sauce was bland.

The salmon was a bit dry, but the sauce was delicious. I'll try again with a different cooking method.
