Time 20m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
3 tablespoons Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except tomato sauce. Shape mixture into 12 (2-inch) meatballs, then flatten slightly to 3/4-inch-thick patties. On each of 4 (9-inch) metal skewers, thread 3 patties lengthwise, leaving 1-inch space between each.
  • Carefully brush grill rack with oil. Place kabobs on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on outside and no longer pink in center.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, heat tomato sauce over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until simmering. Serve over kabobs.

Overall, I thought these kabobs were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either.

These kabobs were a lot of work to make. I think I would have liked them better if I had just grilled some hamburgers and served them on buns.

I had a hard time keeping the kabobs from falling apart on the grill. I think I would have liked them better if I had used metal skewers instead of wooden skewers.

The kabobs were a bit too salty for me. I think I would have liked them better if I had used less salt in the seasoning.

These kabobs were a little dry for my taste. I think I would have liked them better if I had used a more flavorful type of beef.

I'm not a huge fan of hamburgers, but these kabobs were surprisingly good. The beef was cooked perfectly and the cheese was nice and melted.

These kabobs are so good! The beef is tender and juicy, and the cheese is melted and gooey. I love the way the vegetables add a pop of color and flavor.
