Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put the butter in a 9x13 Pyrex baking dish and put the dish in the oven. While the butter is melting, mix up the batter by combining the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar first and then adding milk and almond flavoring. When the butter is completely melted, remove the pan and pour the batter into the melted butter. (It may not completely cover the bottom of the pan, but fear not.) Then, carefully spoon peaches and juice over the batter. Return dish to oven and bake for 30-45 minutes. (Test batter in center for doneness with toothpick.) As the cobbler cooks, the batter will rise up and around the peaches.
