FRENCH-TOASTED BUNS image

4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 day-old hamburger buns, split
1 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup chopped dried fruits

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the first six ingredients; mix well. Dip both sides of each bun in egg mixture. Cook on a greased hot griddle until golden brown on both sides. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the syrup and dried fruit; cook over medium heat until heated through. Serve with French-toasted buns.
