My aunt used to make these for us and I didn't know the name of them until now. These are sinfully delicious, but look very weird.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my cookies didn't turn out at all. They were flat and dense.

I love the flavor of these cookies, but I found them to be a bit dry. I think I would add a little bit of moisture next time, maybe in the form of some chopped nuts or dried fruit.

These cookies are so delicious, but they're also very fragile. I had to be careful not to break them when I was transferring them to the cooling rack.

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste. I would reduce the amount of sugar next time.

I used a different type of flour and the cookies didn't turn out as well. I think it's important to use the right type of flour for this recipe.

I'm not a big fan of anise flavor, so I omitted it from the recipe. The cookies were still delicious.
