Foolproof Beef and Broccoli image

3/4 lb boneless beef sirloin steak
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
10.25 oz cream of broccoli soup
1/4 c water
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 c broccoli flowerets
hot cooked noodles

Steps:

  • 1. Slice beef across the grain into very thin strips.
  • 2. In skillet, over medium-high heat, in hot oil, cook beef and garlic until beef is browned.
  • 3. Add onion.
  • 4. Cook for 5 minutes stirring often.
  • 5. Stir in soup, water and soy sauce. Heat to boiling.
  • 6. Add broccoli.
  • 7. Reduce to low.
  • 8. Cover, simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • 9. Serve over noodles.
  • 10. TIP: To make slicing easier, freeze beef for 1 hour.
