Flavorful Pot Roast image

Once you remove the pot roast and vegtables from the slow cooker you can slowly add some flour to the juice to make a nice gravy to pour over the pot roast.

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb pot roast
1 c red wine, dry burgundy
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp liquid smoke flavoring
1 tsp thyme, dried
1 tsp rosemary, dried
2 large bay leaf
1 tsp black pepper
3 medium onions, sectioned
3 medium potatoes, rough cut with skins
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Rub pot roast with salt and pepper and place in crock pot.
  • 2. Add segmented onions and rough cut potatoes around the pot roast.
  • 3. Combine remaining ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat to blend flavors.
  • 4. Pour contents of sauce pan over the pot roast and cook on low for 6 hours or 4 hours on high setting.
