Number Of Ingredients 5

1 c sugar
1 c white corn syrup
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 1/2 Tbsp baking soda
6 oz pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Combine sugar, syrup, and vinegar in a 3-quart saucepan. Cook to a hard-crack stage, 300 degrees on candy thermometer. Turn off heat and add soda. mixing quickly. Pour immediately into a greased 11x7-inch pan. Cool. Then invert on tray. Spread with melted chocolate. Break into chunks. Makes 1 pound.
