Putting this here so that the recipe for one of my dad's favorite Christmas cookies doesn't get lost. I remember chopping the dates (no packages of chopped dates when I was little!) and the nuts for these as one of the first things I did to help Mom with her Christmas baking.

Number Of Ingredients 10
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add remaining ingredients in order listed, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased 9x5 pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with confectioners sugar. Cool completely before cutting and removing from pan.
