Crisp-Tart Cole Slaw image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cabbage large, shredded
1 onion medium chopped
1 green bell pepper finely chopped
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup water boiling
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 (2-ounce) jar pimiento finely chopped

Steps:

  • Combine shredded cabbage, onion and green pepper in a large bowl. Sprinkle salt over top and pour boiling water over all let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Drain in a colander. Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, celery and mustard seeds add to cabbage mixture. Stir in chopped pimiento. Cover and refrigerate.
