This is one of my favorite bbq and potluck recipes that I have used over the past 30+ years. It has a nice balance of flavors and always receives nice compliments. I hope that you enjoy it too.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2. In a small saucepan, cook apple and onion in a small amount of boiling water for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cooked apple and onion, beans, sausage, raisins, ketchup, mustard, cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
- 4. Pour bean mixture into a 1-1/2 Qt. casserole that has been sprayed or wiped with oil.
- 5. Bake in oven, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring once.
