Coca Cola Sloppy Joes on Garlic Toast image

I really like sloppy joes and whenever I have a pot luck luncheon I make sloppy joes and take them in my crockpot. The garlic bread is just the added touch to make this a perfect sloppy joe. I promise you you will not be disappointed. From that first bite to the very last bite you will enjoy every last minute of the saucy spicy...

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb ground beef or ground chuck
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 tsp flour
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1 c coca cola
2/3 c catsup
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp mustard
1 loaf of garlic bread or make your own

Steps:

  • 1. Brown beef,onion and green pepper in a large skillet.
  • 2. Drain any grease off the beef mixture.
  • 3. Over low heat stir in the Coca Cola, flour, and catsup combining well.
  • 4. Stir in the remaining ingredients in the order listed and mix well.
  • 5. Cover and simmer for 20 - 30 minutes.
  • 6. Take two slices of the garlic bread and put sloppy joe mixture between. If you like you can top it with Mozzerella or Cheddar cheese.
