Cheesy Hot Quiche Squares image

This is an old, old recipe that is from a magazine clipping. I don't know which magazine. My mom has made these squares for as long as I can remember. A family favorite that has stood the test of time.

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
4 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1/4 cup chopped jalapeno pepper

Steps:

  • Beat the eggs for 3 minutes.
  • In another bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir to combine.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the beaten eggs; mix well.
  • Add in the cheeses and chopped peppers; stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes, then cut into squares.
