Cheese and Port Dip for Apples image

This is a very adult appetizer or snack food and great for entertaining. Try to use a good Port. I use MacLaren's Imperial Sharp Cold Pack Cheddar cheese. Serve with Granny Smith apples dipped in lemon juice.

This dip was a bit too rich for my taste, but it was still very good. I would recommend serving it with lighter accompaniments, like fruit or crackers.

I thought this dip was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

I'm not a big fan of apples, but I still enjoyed this dip. The cheese and port flavors are really strong and they overpower the apple flavor.

This dip is a great way to use up leftover cheese. I always have a block of cheddar in my fridge and this is a great way to use it up.

I love that this dip can be made ahead of time. It's perfect for busy weeknights when I don't have a lot of time to cook.

I had some trouble finding port wine at my local grocery store. I ended up using a dry red wine instead and it worked just fine.

I followed the recipe exactly and the dip turned out perfectly. It was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect consistency.

I found this dip to be a bit too sweet for my taste. I would have preferred a more savory flavor.

I wasn't sure about the combination of cheese and port at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors go together really well.
