Calico Beans image

My mother made these when I was growing up. They are, by far, the best baked beans ever! This is another one of those recipes that I have to give out whenever I serve it. This is perfect at any BBQ!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 can(s) kidney beans
1 can(s) pork and beans
1 can(s) lima beans
1 lb ground beef
1 lb bacon - uncooked
1/2 c yellow onion - chopped
1/2 c ketchup
1/2 c brown sugar
2 tsp vinegar
1 Tbsp yellow mustard

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef and bacon. Pour off fat.
  • 2. Add onion and all remaining ingredients including UNDRAINED beans.
  • 3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
