Brats & Beer On The Grill image

This is such an easy way to cook your brats and so much better than buying them pre-cooked at the supermarket. Boiling the brats in beer and veggies adds tons of flavor. After being grilled, the skin is nice and crisp and the inside was warm and juicy. Top with your favorite toppings and you have the perfect brat.

6 large fresh bratwursts
6 can(s) beer (not dark) or ginger-ale, 12 oz. each
1 medium onion, chopped
6 small peppercorns
4 clove whole cloves
6 large hot dog hard rolls

Steps:

  • 1. Place bratwursts, beer, onion, peppercorns, and cloves in a 3-quart saucepan.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my brats turned out dry. I'm not sure what went wrong.

I'm not a big fan of brats, but these were actually pretty good. The beer marinade really helped to improve the flavor.

These brats were easy to make and turned out great! I used a dunkel beer for the marinade, which gave them a nice malty flavor.

I've tried many bratwurst recipes, but this one is by far the best. The beer marinade gives the brats a delicious flavor, and they're always cooked perfectly on the grill.
