BBQ season also means fresh blueberry season -- they're at their best and their least expensive! Top them with a buttery, rich, crispy, crumbly topping laced with pecans and I'm in heaven. The tart fruitiness of the berries is the perfect thing to clean your palette after all those bold BBQ flavors. Serve with vanilla ice cream to get the full crumble experience.

I had some trouble getting the crumble topping to brown. I think I might have needed to bake it for a little longer.

This crumble was a bit too sweet for my taste, but my kids loved it. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I'm not a huge fan of blueberries, but I loved this crumble. The pecans and crumble topping really offset the tartness of the blueberries. I'll definitely be making this again.
