Best-Ever Beans and Sausage image

This is a wonderful and flavorful side-dish from Taste of Home that I make often. It makes a lot, but I simply place left-overs in the freezer with great results. Depending on your family's preference, use hot or mild pork sausage.

This was the worst recipe I've ever tried. The beans were hard and the sausage was dry. The sauce was bland and tasteless.

I used a different type of sausage, such as Italian sausage or chorizo. It gave the dish a different flavor profile.
