BABY BROCCOLI WITH ORANGE SAUCE image

Coarse salt
1 lb baby broccoli
½ c fresh orange juice
2 shallots, peeled, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Cook broccoli in large pot of boiling, salted water till just tender (12 - 15 min); drain and transfer to serving bowl. In small skillet combine orange juice, shallots, vinegar, and pepper flakes; simmer over medium heat until reduced to ¼ cup, 3 - 4 minutes. Spoon the sauce over the broccoli; toss gently and serve.
