Authentic Italian Meatloaf image

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 lb ground beef
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 eggs
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup marinara sauce

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet- add red bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Saute until soft. Remove from skillet and cool.
  • Add all your ingredients in a bowl and mix. Do not over mix.
  • Place mixture in meatloaf pan (or pie dish) and cover with the marinara sauce.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
