Apple Slush image

I mixed together a few everyday staples that I had in the refrigerator to create this dessertlike beverage. If you like things a little tart, substitute cranberry juice for the apple juice. You can also use other flavors of yogurt, too, such as blueberry or cherry. -Wendy Ball, Battle Creek, MI

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups sweetened applesauce
1 cup (8 ounces) reduced-fat vanilla yogurt
3/4 cup partially thawed frozen apple juice concentrate
8 to 10 ice cubes
Cinnamon sugar, optional

Steps:

  • Place the applesauce, yogurt and apple juice concentrate in a blender; cover and process until blended. While processing, add a few ice cubes at a time until mixture achieves desired thickness. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Serve immediately.
