Alabama Mud Cake image

1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (18 1/4 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup mint chocolate chips (regular is fine)
1/2 cup butter, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spray 13 x 9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Spread pineapple and juice in bottom of pan.
  • Top with cherry pie filling.
  • Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the fruits.
  • Scatter chopped pecans and chocolate evenly over the top.
  • Spread butter slices evenly over the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven approximately 40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
