RANCH HOUSE CROCK POT PORK CHOPS W/ PARMESAN MASHED POTATOES

Ranch House Crock Pot Pork Chops W/ Parmesan Mashed Potatoes image

This is a hugely popular slow cooker recipe originating on Picky Palate's blog. By many who have made this, it's been suggested to add 2 cans of soup for additional gravy, but do NOT increase the Ranch Dressing Seasoning for it will become too intensely flavored. Many recipes are out there for roasting garlic. I simply put the cloves in a square of foil, drizzle with olive oil, seal and bake in a toaster oven for about 20 minutes or until soft and golden.

BAKED RANCH DINNER PORK CHOPS

BAKED RANCH DINNER PORK CHOPS image

I made these SPECIAL CUT, tasty pork chops for dinner on yesterday. These are thick cut Loin Center pork chops that does include the tenderloin in each chop. I ordered them cut special while they were on sale. Each chop averages about 1 and a quarter pounds. You can also use regular cut chops, but be mindful of the cooking time,...

Provided by Rose Mary Mogan

Categories     Steaks and Chops

Time 1h25m

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 large loin center cut pork chops (about 1 1/4 inches thick each)
1 Tbsp dried chopped chive
1 1/2 Tbsp paprika
2 Tbsp granulated garlic powder
1 c panko bread crumbs
3/4 c grated parmesan cheese
2 pkg ranch style dressing mix (dry) 1 oz. each

Steps:

  • 1. While SHAKE & BAKE may not be MY preferred method of cooking Pork Chops, it is ONE OF MY HUSBAND Dan's FAVORITE way to have pork chops. Since I was out of the Shake & Bake, I created my own using PANKO BREAD CRUMBS (Japanese Bread Crumbs) blended together with Ranch Dressing and a special blend of other spices. He was very happy with this method and they smelled so good while baking. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F.
  • 2. You may also use 6-8 thinner cut chops if desired, but be mindful that the cooking time will be much less. Although I chose to line a shallow baking pan with parchment paper, next time I will use a WIRE METAL BAKING RACK so that the chops will be much drier after cooking. By laying on the paper and being so thick I had to drain some of the liquid THAT ACCUMULATED from the chops. You always learn as you cook. USING A METAL RACK IS BETTER FOR THESE THICK CUT PORK CHOPS. If you prefer a very crisp chop. But we love how moist and tasty they were.
  • 3. In a large gallon size zip lock bag, combine chopped chive, paprika, garlic powder, panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, & dry ranch dressing mix. Close bag & Shake until mixture is blended together . NO SALT IS NEEDED IN THIS RECIPE
  • 4. Add pork chops to a large platter.
  • 5. Spray one side of pork Chops with Butter flavored cooking spray.
  • 6. Add enough bread crumbs on top to coat each one. Pressing down to make sure the crumb mixture sticks to the chops.
  • 7. Flip chops and spray other side with cooking spray, then coat with bread crumb mixture, pressing by hand to make sure the crumbs adhere to the pork chops.
  • 8. Then place each chop on prepared baking pan.
  • 9. Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until juices run clear when pierced.
  • 10. Serve with your favorite sides, applesauce, spinach and mashed potatoes. PLEASE NOTE BECAUSE YOU NEVER COMTAMINATED THE BAG OF BREAD CRUMB MIXTURE WITH THE WET PORK CHOPS, YOU CAN NOW STORE IN THE FREEZER WHAT IS LEFT OVER FOR THE NEXT TIME FOR A LATER USE. If USING THINNER CHOPS START WITH 45 MINUTES THEN CHECK TO SEE IF THEY ARE COOKED. These chops are so full of flavor.

ONION RANCH PORK CHOPS

Onion Ranch Pork Chops image

I was bored with all the same old pork chops. So I came up with this idea... It can be used on all different kinds of meat. I have tried it with chicken and pork chops, next i try it with cubed steak. It goes good with Ranch Mashed Potatoes!!!

Provided by Foxxy_Mama

Categories     Pork

Time 40m

Yield 6-9 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 -9 pork chops
2 cups breadcrumbs (plain)
2 cups French-fried onions
1/4 cup hidden valley ranch dressing mix
3 -4 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour
1/2 cup olive oil or 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Put french fried onion in a food processor and process until finely chopped to bits. Or you can put in a zip lock bag and smash them to smithereens.
  • Mix in a bowl the bread crumbs, ranch seasoning, and chopped french fried onions.
  • Dry pork chops.
  • Flour pork chops.
  • Dip pork chops in beaten eggs.
  • Coat the pork chops in the bread crumb mixture.
  • Pan fry pork chops until golden brown and done.
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For the tastiest ranch pork chops, use bone-in pork chops at least 1-inch thick. The bone helps the chops stay moist and juicy during cooking.
  • To make sure the pork chops are cooked through, use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C).
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can also check for doneness by cutting into the thickest part of the pork chop. The meat should be opaque all the way through, with no pink in the center.
  • Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in more tender and flavorful chops.
  • Serve the ranch pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Conclusion:

Ranch pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and moist dish that the whole family will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give ranch pork chops a try.
