- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 5 minutes; drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion in hot butter until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef to skillet in small chunks; cook and stir to break the beef into smaller pieces as it cooks until no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture, stir, and cook for 1 minute. Stir mushrooms and garlic salt into the beef mixture. Pour mushroom soup and chicken soup over beef, stir, and cook until hot, about 5 minutes; add sour cream, stir until smooth, and cook until again hot, 2 to 3 minutes more. Pour beef mixture over the cooked egg noodles.

QUICK AND EASY HAMBURGER STROGANOFF
This is my favorite stroganoff to this day; I know it's not true stoganoff but it is what my Mom called it. My mom would make it often especially when we were having company over. I believe it came from her friend that she was roommates in the hospital with when she had me.

Steps:
- 1. Break meat into small chunks in skillet. Cook fat out od meat and spoon off grease. Add onion, garlic powder, mushroom soup, cheese, flour and salt and pepper. Mix well and cover skillet. Cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes. Stir in yogurt and worcestershire sauce thoroughly, heat but do not boil so it will not curdle. Pour into serving dish and sprinkle with parsely. Serve with hot rice.
Tips:
- Use a variety of mushrooms. This will add depth of flavor to the stroganoff. Some good options include cremini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms.
- Don't overcook the beef. The beef should be cooked just until it is browned on the outside and still slightly pink in the center. This will help to keep it tender and juicy.
- Use a good quality sour cream. The sour cream is what gives the stroganoff its creamy texture and tangy flavor. Be sure to use a full-fat sour cream for the best results.
- Serve over noodles or rice. Stroganoff is traditionally served over egg noodles or rice. However, you can also serve it over mashed potatoes or cauliflower rice.
- Garnish with fresh herbs. Fresh herbs, such as parsley, chives, or dill, can add a pop of color and flavor to the stroganoff.
Conclusion:
Hamburger stroganoff is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover hamburger. With a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal on the table in no time.
