Note: If you'd like the apple slices to retain their shape and have a slightly firm texture, use the low end of the cook time range.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, crisp apples. This will give your crisp the best flavor and texture.
  • Peel and slice the apples evenly. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the apples in the baking dish. This will prevent them from cooking properly.
  • Use a combination of spices. This will give your crisp a more complex flavor.
  • Don't overcook the crisp. The apples should be tender but still hold their shape.
  • Serve the crisp warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. This will make it even more delicious!
