PORK CHOPS AND APPLE BAKE

Pork Chops and Apple Bake image

This is a simple put together meal that tastes like you cooked for hours! I made these tonight using what I had in hand and what I knew I liked. A different taste with the sweet aroma of baked apples and the tanginess from the garlic and balsamic vinegar. It provided a suttle differences with each bite. My DH and DS liked this very much. I served with baby sweet peas and smashed potatoes. The sauce can be made into a gravy but the family was hungry so I used the remaining juice as an au jus.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for bone-in, center-cut pork chops that are about 1 inch thick. These will cook evenly and stay juicy.
  • Season the pork chops well: Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices. This will help to enhance their flavor.
  • Sear the pork chops before baking: Searing the pork chops in a hot skillet before baking them will help to create a flavorful crust and prevent them from drying out.
  • Use a variety of apples: Using a variety of apples, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady, will add different flavors and textures to the dish.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking dish: Make sure that the pork chops and apples are not overcrowded in the baking dish. This will help them to cook evenly.
  • Bake the pork chops until they are cooked through: Bake the pork chops until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This will ensure that they are cooked through but still juicy.

Conclusion:

Pork chops and apple bake is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover pork chops. The pork chops are tender and juicy, and the apples are sweet and tart. The combination of flavors is sure to please everyone at the table.
