Tips:

  • Use fresh poppy seeds for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh poppy seeds, you can use dried poppy seeds, but they may not be as flavorful.
  • Grind the poppy seeds finely before adding them to the batter. This will help to distribute the poppy seed flavor throughout the bread.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bread tough.
  • Bake the bread at a moderate temperature (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Poppy seed quick bread is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack. It is also a great way to use up leftover poppy seeds. With its moist, tender crumb and nutty flavor, poppy seed quick bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
