Yield Makes 8 first-course or 4 main-course servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 10-ounce purchased fully baked thin pizza crust (such as Boboli)
1/4 cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups (packed) baby spinach leaves (1 1/2 to 2 ounces)
1 1/2 cups thickly sliced mushrooms (5 to 6 ounces)
1/2 cup drained roasted red peppers from jar, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup paper-thin red onion slices
8 large fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips
5-ounce package soft fresh goat cheese, coarsely crumbled

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Place pizza crust on large baking sheet. Mix olive oil and minced garlic in small bowl. Using pastry brush, brush 2 tablespoons garlic oil evenly over crust. Top with spinach leaves, then sprinkle with sliced mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onion slices, fresh basil, and crumbled goat cheese. Drizzle pizza evenly with remaining garlic oil.
  • Bake pizza until crust is crisp and cheese begins to brown, about 18 minutes. Transfer pizza to board. Cut into wedges and serve warm.

Tips:

  • Use a combination of flours to create a flavorful and crispy pizza crust. All-purpose flour provides a good base, while bread flour adds strength and chewiness. Whole wheat flour or spelt flour can also be used to add a nutty flavor and extra fiber.
  • Make sure the dough is well-rested before baking. This will allow the gluten to relax and develop, resulting in a more tender and flavorful crust.
  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best results. Fresh, seasonal vegetables, flavorful cheeses, and a good quality olive oil will make a big difference in the taste of your pizza.
  • Don't overload the pizza with toppings. Too many toppings can make the pizza soggy and difficult to cook evenly.
  • Bake the pizza at a high temperature for a crispy crust. A pizza stone or baking steel can help you achieve a high temperature and evenly cooked pizza.

Conclusion:

Pizza bianca with goat cheese and greens is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With its crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and creamy goat cheese, this pizza is sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give this recipe a try!
