Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple. Fresh pineapple has the best flavor and texture for pineapple pie. If you can't find fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple, but be sure to drain it well before using.
  • Don't overcook the pineapple. Overcooked pineapple will be mushy and lose its flavor. Cook the pineapple just until it is softened and golden brown.
  • Use a good quality pie crust. A good quality pie crust will make all the difference in the final product. You can use a homemade pie crust or a store-bought pie crust.
  • Don't overfill the pie. Overfilling the pie will make it difficult to bake evenly. Fill the pie crust no more than two-thirds full.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This will usually take about 45 minutes.
  • Let the pie cool before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld.

Conclusion:

Pineapple pie is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet and tangy flavor, pineapple pie is a surefire hit. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give pineapple pie a try. You won't be disappointed.
