Tips:

  • To make the most flavorful pesto, use fresh basil leaves. If you can't find fresh basil, you can use dried basil, but the flavor will be less intense.
  • If you don't have pine nuts, you can substitute walnuts or almonds.
  • To make the pesto ahead of time, simply store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze the pesto for up to 3 months.
  • When cooking the pasta, be sure to cook it according to the package directions. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant to eat.
  • If you don't have cherry tomatoes, you can use any other type of tomato. Just be sure to cut them into small pieces so that they cook evenly.
  • To make the dish even more flavorful, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

Conclusion:

Pesto pasta with tomatoes and pine nuts is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick weeknight meal. The pesto is flavorful and aromatic, and the tomatoes and pine nuts add a nice touch of sweetness and crunch. This dish is sure to please everyone at your table.
