PEPPERONI PIZZA DIP

Pepperoni Pizza Dip image

This is the easiest pizza dip ever! Grab all your left over cheeses, chop up some of your favorite pizza topping to dress this dip anyway you like it! Easy to make, not too many ingredients, while a pepperoni pizza dip can hardly be qualified as "light," I did make slight changes here and there to lighten up the dish as much as I...

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 oz cream cheese, low-fat
2 pinch mrs. dash tomato basil garlic seasoning blend (optional)
1/4 c sour cream, fat-free
1/4 c mayonnaise, fat-free
1 c mozzarella cheese, grated
1/3 medium parmesan cheese
1 c ragu home-made style pizza sauce
1 oz sliced pepperoni (16-20 pcs)
2 Tbsp green pepper, chopped (optional)
2 Tbsp ripe olives, chopped (optional)
2 Tbsp dried red pepper flakes (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • 2. Mix cream cheese with Mrs. Dash seasoning blend, sour cream, mayo, half of the mozzarella, and half of the parmesan. Spread mixture in bottom of pie plate.
  • 3. Pour and spread pizza sauce to cover the cheese mixture. Top with remaining cheeses and pepperoni. (Add green pepper, olives and mushroom if desired)
  • 4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese bubbles.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your dip will taste. Use fresh, ripe tomatoes, real mozzarella cheese, and a good quality pepperoni.
  • Don't overcook the dip: The dip should be cooked just until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Overcooking it will make the dip tough and chewy.
  • Serve the dip hot: The dip is best served hot and fresh out of the oven. It can be made ahead of time and reheated, but it's best to reheat it in individual servings so that it doesn't cool down too much.
  • Add your favorite toppings: Feel free to add your favorite toppings to the dip to customize it to your liking. Some popular toppings include diced onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and olives.

Conclusion:

Pepperoni pizza dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for parties or game days. It's a crowd-pleaser that is sure to be a hit with everyone. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious dip that will have everyone coming back for more.
