1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, grated or minced
1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 cup chicken stock
Juice from 1/2 lemon

Steps:

  • Heat the oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the green beans, then season with salt and pepper and stir to combine.

2 pkg frozen green beans
6 slice thick bacon, peppered
1/3 onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chicken bouillon
2 c water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

  • 1. Cook bacon in a non stick skillet until crispy, drain bacon on paper towels
  • 2. In the bacon fat left in the pan add the onion and cook until translucant
  • 3. Add the garlic powder, chicken bouillon, and green beans.

2 ½ cups fresh green beans, trimmed
1 tablespoon brown sugar
sea salt to taste
3 slices smoked bacon, cut into small strips, or to taste
4 tablespoons chicken broth, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a skillet over low heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in green beans and brown sugar, and season with sea salt. Add bacon, increase heat to medium, and stir.

2 1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
Kosher salt
1/2 pound bacon, roughly chopped
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Freshly ground pepper

Steps:

  • Toss the green beans into a large pot of boiling salted water and cook until bright green in color and crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Drain the beans and shock in a large bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Drain the beans again and pat dry.
  • Cook the bacon in a large, heavy saute pan until crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Spoon off the excess bacon grease, leaving 2 tablespoons in the pan. Add the onion to the pan and saute until soft and very tender, 4 to 5 minutes.
