PRALINE PECAN CRUNCH SNACK MIX
In our family, we call this "Crunchy-Crunchy." My mother-in-law makes a big batch of this every Christmas. We receive it in the big box of gifts and my youngest is very excited to see "Grandma's Crunchy-Crunchy" snack mix. I sometimes make it myself, but it's more special to receive it from Grandma, you know? It is great for gift giving in a nice air-tight plastic container. Great to put out for a sweet snack, any time of the year! Note: I have added a little salt to the recipe as a personal preference. If you want to leave it out as the original recipe calls for, you can do so. Enjoy!

SUPER EASY AMISH PRALINE PECAN CRUNCH
This recipe is from Sue Miller, from the Amish-Country Cookbook, Vol. III. It was super easy, and my family loved the original vanilla flavor. Then I tried more flavors like butter rum; toffee; and maple. These were perfect for the Christmas holidays!! I gave them as gifts and everyone said they were delicious and wanted...

Steps:
- 1. Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in microwave save bowl. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir and microwave another 1/2 to 1 1/2 minutes (I did 1/2 only in new microwave) or until boiling.
- 2. Add vanilla (or other flavor) and baking soda and stir thoroughly. It will begin to foam. Pour mixture over pecans. Stir until coated evenly.
- 3. Spread on baking sheet lined with silpat or wax paper and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes. Cool before storing in container. Pecans will stick together but easily break apart into crunch size pieces.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Fresh nuts, butter, and sugar will yield the best results.
- Be careful not to overcook the sugar. Overcooked sugar will be hard and brittle, rather than soft and chewy.
- Stir the mixture constantly. This will help to prevent the sugar from burning.
- Add the nuts at the end of the cooking process. This will help to prevent them from burning.
- Let the praline cool completely before breaking it into pieces. This will help to prevent it from crumbling.
Conclusion:
Pecan-Walnut Praline Crunch is a delicious and easy-to-make candy that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet treat that everyone will love. This candy is also a great way to use up leftover nuts and sugar. So next time you have a craving for something sweet, try making Pecan-Walnut Praline Crunch. You won't be disappointed!
