2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups old-fashioned oats (do not use quick-cooking)
1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1 cup chopped dried pear

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. 2 tsp cinnamon (i use 1 tbl)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 c shortening, butter flavor
1 1/2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 c oats, quick cooking
2 c pears without skin (chopped)
1 c chocolate chips
1 c walnut pieces

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the eggs until well blended. Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture until well blended. Fold in the walnuts, oats, pears and chocolate chips. Drop dough by spoonfuls about 2 inches onto ungreased cookie sheets.
