Steps:
- 1. Mix butter, sugar, peanut butter and rice krispies together thoroughly. Roll into small balls and dip in chocolate coating (below). Refrigerate for several hours.
- 2. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a double broiler. Coat the small balls in the chocolate mixture. Line the bottom a cookie sheet with wax paper to set them on. I always refrigerate them on the cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes before I remove them (so the coating sets)and put them into a container to keep in the refrigerator.
Here are some tips and a conclusion about the recipes in the article "Peanut Butter Dreams".
Tips:
- Use creamy peanut butter. This will give your recipes a smooth and creamy texture.
- Don't overbeat the peanut butter. Overbeating can cause it to become oily and grainy.
- If you're using a food processor, be sure to use the pulse setting. This will help prevent the peanut butter from becoming too smooth.
- For no-bake recipes, be sure to chill the mixture thoroughly before shaping it into balls. This will help them hold their shape.
- For baked recipes, be sure to preheat the oven before baking. This will help ensure that your peanut butter treats bake evenly.
- Store peanut butter treats in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator. They will keep for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
Peanut butter is a delicious and versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes. From no-bake treats to baked goods, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, reach for some peanut butter and get creative! Your taste buds will thank you.
