Number Of Ingredients 9

1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, cubed
1/3 cup 2% milk
2 sleeves butter-flavored crackers (about 80 crackers)
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine the cracker crumbs, sugars, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 5 minutes longer., Place a single layer of crackers in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. dish; top with half of crumb mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining crackers., In a small saucepan, combine the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and peanut butter. Cook and stir until smooth. Pour over crackers. Let stand until set.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 c sugar
1/2 c light corn syrup
1 c peanut butter, creamy
2 c rice cereal
ICING INGREDIENTS
1/4 c butter
1/4 c brown sugar
1 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Heat sugar and syrup until sugar dissolves.
  • 2. Blend in peanut butter.
  • 3. Stir in cereal.
  • 4. Pat in 11 X 7 X 2-inch pan.
  • 5. Spread with icing. (directions below)
  • 6. Chill.
  • 7. Icing Directions:
  • 8. Melt butter and brown sugar.
  • 9. Remove from heat.
  • 10. Stir in milk and vanilla.
  • 11. Beat in sifted powdered sugar.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.
  • To make the bars even crispier, bake them for a few minutes longer.
  • If you don't have a 9x13 inch baking pan, you can use a 10x15 inch pan. Just adjust the baking time accordingly.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • You can also freeze the bars for up to 2 months. Just thaw them overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
