THE BEST PEACH COBBLER
In our classic southern-style peach cobbler, we layer the fruit on top of the batter before baking. In the oven, the sweet batter rises through the peaches, creating a light and airy cake-like topping. We left the peaches unpeeled, which adds a nice color and makes the recipe even easier. Serve it with vanilla ice cream for the perfect summer dessert.

IVA'S PEACH COBBLER
My mother received this peach cobbler recipe from a friend of hers many years ago, and fortunately she shared it with me. Boise is situated right between two large fruit-producing areas in our state, so peaches are plentiful in the summer. -Ruby Ewart, Boise, Idaho

Tips:
- Use ripe peaches: The riper the peaches, the sweeter and more flavorful your cobbler will be.
- Peel the peaches: Peeling the peaches before slicing them will give your cobbler a smoother, more elegant texture.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make it tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Use a baking dish that is at least 2 inches deep: This will prevent the cobbler from boiling over in the oven.
- Bake the cobbler until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This usually takes about 45 minutes.
- Let the cobbler cool for at least 15 minutes before serving: This will give the filling time to set.
Conclusion:
Peach cobbler is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet, juicy peaches, crispy crust, and creamy vanilla ice cream, it's the perfect way to end a hot summer day. So next time you have a craving for something sweet, give this peach cobbler recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
