Time 20m

Yield 36 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (16 ounce) jar dry roasted peanuts
3 tablespoons margarine
1 bag peanut butter chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Grease 9x13 pan.
  • Pour 1/2 peanuts on bottom of pan.
  • Melt margarine and chips.
  • Add milk and then marshmallows (do not melt marshmallows).
  • Pour over peanuts, pat down.
  • Put rest of peanuts in and pat down.
  • Chill.

Tips:

  • Prepare the oven and pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter or cooking spray. This will prevent the bars from sticking to the pan and make it easier to remove them when they're done baking.
  • Use room temperature ingredients: Bringing your ingredients to room temperature before mixing them will help them blend together more smoothly and evenly. This will result in a more consistent and flavorful cake.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together: This step is essential for creating a light and fluffy cake. Make sure you cream the butter and sugar together until they are light and fluffy, and there are no lumps of butter remaining.
  • Add the eggs one at a time: Adding the eggs one at a time will help prevent the batter from curdling. Make sure you mix each egg in completely before adding the next one.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough and dense. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined, then stop mixing.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This is the best way to tell if the cake is done baking. If the toothpick comes out with batter or crumbs attached, the cake needs to bake for a few more minutes.

Conclusion:

Payday cake bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They're moist, flavorful, and have a sweet and crunchy topping. With just a few simple ingredients and steps, you can make these bars at home and enjoy them with your family and friends.
