Tips:
- Choose fresh, bright green asparagus spears for the best flavor and texture.
- To easily snap the asparagus spears, hold one end in each hand and bend until it snaps naturally. This will remove the tough, woody ends.
- Cook the asparagus spears in a large pot of boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Immediately transfer the asparagus to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process and preserve the bright green color.
- Use a good quality goat cheese for the best flavor. Fresh goat cheese is best, but you can also use a soft, spreadable goat cheese.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to brighten up the dish and balance the flavors.
- Garnish the pasta with fresh herbs, such as basil, chives, or parsley, for a pop of color and flavor.
Conclusion:
This pasta with asparagus, goat cheese, and lemon is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The asparagus is tender and flavorful, the goat cheese is creamy and tangy, and the lemon adds a bright and refreshing flavor. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends!
