SLOPPY JOE PASTA SKILLET DINNER

Sloppy Joe Pasta Skillet Dinner image

I had some leftovers from Recipe#146372 and I didn't want to make anymore Sloppy Joes,so I came up with this. For the pasta I used elbow macaroni, but feel free to use what you have on hand. And for the meat, use what ever you have leftover from any Sloppy Joe recipe.I suggest using the mild Ro-Tel,the original might be to hot for the kiddos :). PASTA SKILLET DINNER

Pasta Skillet Dinner image

My family loves this main dish.

Provided by Eve Peterson

Categories     Pasta

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c uncooked ziti pasta
1 lb ground beef
1 jar(s) tomato pasta sauce
1/2 c water
1/2 c sour cream
1 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta as directed, drain. Cover and keep warm.
  • 2. In a 10 inch skillet, cook beef over medium high heat, stirring frequently until cooked, drain. Stir in pasta sauce and water. Reduce heat to medium simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
  • 3. Stir in cooked pasta. In a small bowl, mix sour cream and cheese. Spoon over pasta mixture. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your dish.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet. If you put too much pasta or vegetables in the skillet, they won't cook evenly.
  • Cook the pasta al dente. This means that it should be cooked until it is tender, but still has a little bit of a bite to it.
  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will add color, flavor, and nutrients to your dish.
  • Season the dish well. Use salt, pepper, and other spices to taste.
  • Don't overcook the pasta. Overcooked pasta is mushy and unappetizing.
  • Serve the pasta skillet dinner immediately. This is when it is at its best.

Conclusion:

Pasta skillet dinners are a quick, easy, and delicious way to feed your family. They are also a great way to use up leftover pasta and vegetables. With a little planning, you can have a delicious pasta skillet dinner on the table in no time.
