PARTY BARS
My niece gave me this recipe. I have no idea as to where it originated. I made these bars today for the first time and took them to a family gathering and brought home an empty pan. The bars are chocked full of chocolate chips and maraschino cherries and are very moist. I would suggest using 1/2 of the chips the recipe calls for and maybe adding more cherries. They are Mmm Mmm good! I forgot to ice my party bars but they were plenty rich without the frosting.

Great for parties and pot lucks! Oh heck, they're great anytime! I like the chocolate layer on these more so than other bars that are similar.

Tips:
- Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all your ingredients and tools ready. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling.
- Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Whenever possible, use room temperature ingredients. This will help your ingredients blend together more easily and create a smoother batter.
- Don't Overmix: Overmixing can make your bars tough and dry. Mix your ingredients just until they are combined.
- Chill Your Dough: Chilling your dough before baking will help it hold its shape and prevent it from spreading too much in the oven.
- Bake in a Preheated Oven: Always preheat your oven before baking. This will help your bars bake evenly and prevent them from sinking in the middle.
- Cool Completely: Let your bars cool completely before cutting them. This will help them set properly and prevent them from crumbling.
