Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: For the best flavor, use peaches that are ripe but still firm. Avoid peaches that are too soft or bruised.
  • Use a good quality balsamic vinegar: The balsamic vinegar is a key ingredient in the sauce, so be sure to use a good quality one. Look for a vinegar that is aged for at least 12 years.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When searing the ham, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the ham from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the ham over medium heat: Cook the ham over medium heat so that it has a chance to brown on the outside without burning.
  • Use a meat thermometer: To ensure that the ham is cooked to perfection, use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the ham should reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the ham rest before slicing: After cooking the ham, let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ham, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.

Conclusion:

Pan-fried ham with sweet balsamic peach sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish. The combination of sweet and savory flavors is sure to please everyone at your table. This dish is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. Serve it with a side of roasted vegetables or your favorite salad.
