- Bake until tender and golden crispy outside, about 40 minutes. When out of the oven, hit them with some dashes of steak spice.

RACHEL'S OVEN FRIES / ROASTED POTATO WEDGES
Potatoes made tasty and simple. This is good for 2 people to share, so use the recipe multiplier for more servings. Makes a healthier substitute for french fries, and a great side dish for a hearty meal in place of mashed or baked potatoes. I like this particular herb mix, but feel free to use pretty much any kind of seasoning in a 1/2 tsp-1 tsp amount. Montreal Chicken Rub is the perfect seasoning for this! And, this is vegan.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, toss together the halved potatoes, olive oil, butter, garlic salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Tear 4 large sheets of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil, each about 16 inches long. Divide the potato mixture evenly between the sheets of foil. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Place the packets on a baking sheet and transfer to the oven. Cook for 25 minutes.
- Remove one packet from the oven. Open packet carefully by cutting along top fold with a sharp knife, allowing steam to escape; then open top of foil packet. Check to see if the potatoes are fully cooked and fork tender; if not, return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
- Once cooked, open up the packets and top each portion of potatoes with cheese and herbs. Let the cheese melt before serving. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

OVEN-ROASTED FRIES

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray. Toss potato wedges with canola oil in large bowl. Sprinkle potato wedges generously with salt and pepper; spread in single layer on prepared baking sheet. Roast potato wedges until tender and brown in spots, turning occasionally, about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve.
Tips:
- Choose the right potatoes. Russet potatoes are the best choice for oven-roasted fries because they are starchy and have a fluffy texture. Yukon Gold and red potatoes can also be used, but they will not be as crispy as Russet potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. This will help them cook evenly. If the pieces are too small, they will overcook and become crispy. If the pieces are too large, they will not cook through.
- Toss the potatoes with oil and seasonings. This will help them brown and develop flavor. You can use any type of oil you like, but olive oil or canola oil are good choices. For seasonings, you can use salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or any other herbs or spices you like.
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. This will help them cook evenly. If the potatoes are crowded, they will steam instead of roast.
- Roast the potatoes at a high temperature. This will help them get crispy. The ideal temperature is 425 degrees Fahrenheit. If you roast the potatoes at a lower temperature, they will not get as crispy.
- Flip the potatoes halfway through cooking. This will help them brown evenly. If you don't flip the potatoes, they will be more likely to burn on one side.
- Serve the potatoes immediately. Oven-roasted fries are best served hot and crispy. If you let them sit for too long, they will become soggy.
Conclusion:
Oven-roasted fries are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or a casual weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can make oven-roasted fries that are crispy, flavorful, and sure to please everyone.
