This is a family favorite. We have these several times a month. They are so easy to fix yet taste great.

Provided by Sherry Neander

Categories     Pork

Time 1h35m

Number Of Ingredients 2

4 large pork steaks, thick cut
1 c bbq sauce, choose your favorite.

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line roasting pan with aluminum foil
  • 2. Place Pork Steaks in pan and brush BBQ sauce over each one being sure to get some on the sides as well.
  • 3. Turn over every 30 minutes and reapply BBQ sauce. The sauce doesn't have to go on thick, you just want to have a thin coat. Bake for 1.5 hours.

Tips:

  • For a crispier crust, pat the pork steaks dry with paper towels before cooking.
  • To make a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to form a slurry. Add the slurry to the sauce and cook over medium heat until thickened.
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, cook the pork steaks until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, or 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
  • Serve the pork steaks with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or coleslaw.
