2 tablespoons grated lemon zest

  • In a large saucepan, combine sugar and 2-1/2 cups water; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly., Stir in citrus zest and juices. Let stand, covered, 1 hour. 1 cup fresh blood orange juice, 4 to 6 oranges
1 cup fresh lemon juice, 6 to 8 lemons
3 cups club soda or water
1 lemon
1 blood orange
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

  • In a medium saucepan heat sugar and water for about 5 minutes until all the sugar is dissolved and it becomes a syrup consistency. Set aside to cool slightly.
