PINEAPPLE & MANDARIN ORANGE FLUFF

Pineapple & Mandarin Orange Fluff image

Make and share this Pineapple & Mandarin Orange Fluff recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Jamie78

Categories     Oranges

Time 10m

Yield 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (8 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained (not the small can)
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple, drained (chunks or tidbits work best)
1 (12 ounce) container lite Cool Whip
1 (12 ounce) container fat-free cottage cheese
1 (6 ounce) box sugar-free orange gelatin

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix cottage cheese and jell-o mix.
  • Drain juice from oranges and pineapple, then add to ingredients.
  • Add in the cool whip a little at a time.
  • Refrigerate overnight is best.

Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges: Fresh oranges provide the best flavor and texture for this salad. If you can't find fresh oranges, you can use canned mandarin oranges, but be sure to drain and rinse them well before using.
  • Use a variety of fruits: This salad is a great way to use up leftover fruits. You can add any type of fruit you like, such as pineapple, bananas, grapes, or berries.
  • Make sure the fruit is well-drained: Before adding the fruit to the salad, be sure to drain it well. This will help to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
  • Don't overmix the salad: The salad is best when the ingredients are just combined. If you overmix it, the fruit will start to break down and the salad will become mushy.
  • Chill the salad before serving: The salad is best when it is served cold. Chill it for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Orange Fluff Salad with Pineapple is a refreshing and delicious side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its bright citrus flavor and creamy texture, this salad is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
