Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh shrimp, sausage, and vegetables will give your pasta dish the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you add too much food to the pan at once, it will not cook evenly. Cook the shrimp and sausage in batches if necessary.
  • Season the dish well: Cajun seasoning is a blend of spices that gives this dish its signature flavor. Be sure to season the shrimp, sausage, and vegetables generously.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: Al dente means "to the tooth" in Italian. It refers to the texture of pasta that is cooked through but still has a slight bite to it.
  • Stir in the sauce at the end: Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the sauce and cook for a few minutes more. This will allow the flavors of the sauce to meld with the pasta.
